A B O U T

On June 29, 2013, Carol was involved in a near fatal car accident that crushed her body and left her completely blind.

Because the accident happened in Washington, Carol's insurance policy has been depleted by out-of-country medical expenses.

Carol has just been moved from the rehabilitaion centre to my grandmother's condo, where she will stay until her home is ready for her to move into.  My grandmother, who is 86 years old, is Carol's primary care-giver along with Caro's daughter Hannah, who is with Carol for most hours of the day.  Once Carol is able to move back ino her home, Hannah will be with Carol full time.

Carol is well known in Rossland, BC for her work on Red Mountain as a ski patroller over the last 30 years, as well as her volunteer efforts in the community of Rossland.   Carol has a special relationship with the children of Rossland, and always makes time for the kids.  Her door and heart is always open to anyone in need, and she would give her shoes off of her feet (and has) if she thought you needed them more than she did.

Carol's spirit and attitude are inspiring.  Despite the situation she has been dealt, she is always able to put a smile on the face of anyone that has the priveledge to be in her company.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported Carol in this time of need.  The response has been overwhelming.

Much love,

Amy
